- Log into your WordPress site at your current host (site you want to move)
- Install and activate a plugin called WPVivid (Link)
- Create a backup using WPVivid (Link)
- Log into your control panel. (Link)
- Install WordPress site (Link) (Be sure to check the box "Make this website a staging site
- Click on the Login to Admin button NOTE: You may need to wait a few minutes for the DNS to resolv
- Install and activate a plugin called WPVivid (Link)
- Click on the Upload tab (middle of page)
- Click on select files, find the backup you downloaded and double-click on it.
- Click Upload (You will see the percentage increase on the left side.
- When uploaded, click OK
- Click on the Restore Link at the bottom of the section.
- Click on Restore button, click OK to continue
- Your site is getting restore from the backup now. Click OK when it's completed.
- Log in with credential for your WP site.
- You may need to recreate permalinks, click on Settings, Permalinks, then just click the Save Changes button at the bottom
- Click on WPVivid Backup
- At the bottom, click on the Trash can under Delete to remove your backup
- Click on plugins
- Click on deactivate and then delete for the WPvivid Backup Plugin
- Click on Activate for the plugin WP CLI Login Command Server
- Click on the staging URL at top left and click on visit site.
- If everything is loading up correctly, go back to your control panel tab and click Push Live button
- Enter in the domain you want to use, click Push Live.
- Log into your domain registrar and update the DNS. Our DNS info is located here. (Link)
